“Shifting Perspective on Trauma” Art Exhibition | The Perception Project
The Perception Project is devoted to providing services to survivors of abuse/trauma/mental illness and other forms of violence. These services take on creative forms as expressive outlets between the artist/survivor collaboration. The muse provides the personal story, and the artist creates a masterpiece to showcase the muse’s strength, resilience, inner beauty, dreams, and ambitions. This organization pairs volunteer artists with survivors of violence to promote healing through expressive outlets. Works of art are created then gifted to the muses (survivors) as a symbol of their internal strength to continue thriving in life. The art exhibitions are designed to promote awareness, connect community, and celebrate each individual muse.
