International festival of short films - 10th edition

The International Short Film Festival, Amarcort, is an important showcase of international short films and a healthy artistic competition.
This is the 10th edition of Amarcort which officially began in March with the contest ‘Il Giro del Mondo in 80 Corti’ [around the world in 80 short films]. The itinerant event offers 10 monthly appointments until the grand finale in December. Many events, guests and special exhibits will retrace the history of the initiative, which this year is dedicated to the poet, writer and screenwriter Tonino Guerra.
The Festival is divided into 7 competitive sections: "Amarcort", "Gradisca", "Fulgor", "Rex", "Aldina", "Gironzalon" and "Cantarel", the musical videoclip contest.
Amarcort Film Festival has also a competitive section for screenplay writers, the section "Grand Hotel".
And new in 2017 is a section dedicated to the industry called AFF-SMI (Amarcort Film Festival Short Movie Industry). The latter will be held on 11th, 12th, 13th December and will be reserved for professionals (authors, producers, distributors, buyers ...) who hold a credit.
For the occasion, the international itinerant contest of short films, 'Around the world in 80 shorts', will be concluded with the Award ceremonies.

Il decimo anno di Amarcort è iniziato ufficialmente con “Il Giro del Mondo in 80 Corti, edizione 2017”, l’evento itinerante che trasporta il pubblico per 10 date mensili, fino al gran finale di dicembre con tanti eventi, ospiti e mostre speciali che ripercorreranno la storia dell’evento. Questa edizione sarà dedicata al poeta, scrittore e sceneggiatore Tonino Guerra. Il concorso si divide in sette sezioni e i nomi scelti non possono far altro che richiamare alla memoria dei "ricordi felliniani": Amarcort, Gradisca, Rex, Fulgor, Aldina, Gironzalon e la recente Cantarel, dedicata a videoclip musicali. Dal 2014 è stata aggiunta una nuova sezione competitiva, dedicata esclusivamente alla sceneggiatura, con il concorso per sceneggiature inedite denominato "Grand Hotel". Novità 2017: Sarà inaugurata un'area dedicata all'industria chiamata AFF-SMI (Amarcort Film Festival Short Movie Industry). Questa sarà aperta nei giorni 11, 12 e 13 dicembre e sarà riservata ai professionisti (autori, produttori, distributori, buyers...) in possesso di accredito.
